A man was yesterday jailed for 11 1/2 for the manslaughter of an elderly woman who died from a heart attack after she was tied up during a burglary.

John Arundel (26), of Baker's Road, Gurranabraher, Cork, was described by Judge A.G. Murphy, at Cork Criminal Court, as a "coward" for targeting Margaret Murphy (73), at her home in Barrett's Buildings, Cork, on August 1st, 1997.
