A man is seriously ill in hospital from injuries sustained in an assault in Tralee, Co Kerry, last night.
Gardaí in Tralee are investigating the attack, which happened at Bridge Street at about 10 p.m. last night.
One man was arrested and is being held at Tralee Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
