A man (20) has been arrested this morning following an assault in Ennis, Co Clare last night.
The incident happened shortly before 11.45pm at an apartment in Parnell Court area of the town.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was taken to Mid-West Regional Hospital suffering from wounds to his neck, chest and back. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The man is currently being held at Ennis Garda station.
The area has been sealed off pending a forensic technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information to contact them.
