Gardaí targeting organised crime in Dublin have arrested a man following the seizure of an estimated €150,000 of heroin in Ballyfermot today.

Officers from the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit searched a house on Cherry Orchard Parade at approximately 1pm this afternoon. During the course of this search heroin with a potential street value of €150,000 was seized.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Ballyfermot Garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
