A man was arrested yesterday on foot of a European arrest warrant relating to the importation of controlled drugs into Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The 50-year-old man was arrested in Kildare by gardaí in co-operation with the UK Serious Organised Crime Agency.
He was being detained last night and was due to appear in the High Court in Dublin at 10.30am today.
