Mr Dennis Barrington, of Drumaclarig, Bantry, Cork, has been granted leave in the High Court to challenge a District Court order for committal to prison for the non-payment of an £18,677 Circuit Court decree against him.
Mr Barrington was also granted a temporary injunction by Mrs Justice McGuinness, restraining gardai from arresting him on foot of the District Court warrant.
