A 54-year-old Dublin father who raped his daughters over 20 years ago has been remanded for sentence by the Central Criminal Court. The man pleaded guilty before Mr Justice Paul Carney to sample charges of raping two daughters on dates in 1974, 1979 and having unlawful carnal knowledge of another daughter, aged 12 years, on a date in 1980.

He also admitted indecently assaulting his son on a date in 1980. Mr Justice Carney remanded him on continuing bail for sentence on July 30th and directed the preparation of reports for the hearing, at which evidence of the man's crimes will also be given.
