A 35-year-old man died this morning when his motorbike collided with a car on the Abbeyleix to Rathdowney Road in Co Laois.
The crash happened shortly before midday about 3 kilometres outside Rathdowney.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Portlaoise General Hospital.
A postmortem is expected this evening.
