Ireland international midfielder Alan Mahon has signed a four-year deal with newly promoted Blackburn Rovers worth £1.5 million sterling.
Mahon (23), who spent the second half of last season on loan to Rovers from Portugal's Sporting Lisbon, made 20 appearances and played a key role in helping the club gain promotion.
"My loan spell at Ewood Park was a very happy and successful time," Mahon told Blackburn's official website.
"When the opportunity to make it a full-time arrangement came along, I had no hesitation. I now hope to play an active part as Rovers attempt to re-establish themselves in the Premiership."
