Skopje - Macedonia's rival political camps were locked into a second day of talks yesterday, under intense international pressure to close a deal on constitutional reforms seen as the only way to end an ethnic Albanian rebellion.

Pressure mounted when EU External Relations Commissioner Mr Chris Patten said the union was weighing an aid package of €50 million ($42.7 million) to Macedonia, if the government's dialogue with ethnic Albanian parties bears fruit.
