The railway line between Lisburn and Lurgan has been reopened after it was earlier closed due to a security alert.

The railway line between Lisburn and Lurgan has been reopened after it was earlier closed due to a security alert.

Police conducted a number of searches in the Lurgan area after a police car was attacked in the Lake Street area last night.

A police patrol had to withdraw from the area after a number of suspect devices were thrown at the police car.

The public was warned by police not to touch any suspicious objects and Railway Street and Lake Street were temporarily sealed off.
