Some £5,500 in cash prizes will be awarded at the Mullingar bridge congress which takes place next weekend, with the main events in the Greville Arms, and the open pairs in the Bridge Centre. The mixed, and novice pairs will be played on Friday (7.30 p.m.); the two-session major, and intermediate pairs on Saturday (2.00 p.m.); and the Swiss teams on Sunday (11.30 a.m.).
Among the prizes, the major pairs champions will receive £800, and there is a fund of £1,200 for the teams. Entries will be accepted by K. Murphy (044-41929), who will also supply hotel and guesthouse information.
The dates for both the Donegal, and Kenmare congresses are November 7th-9th.
