Kuchar the man to catch at US PGA

Golf:Rory McIlroy can look forward to a lie-in tomorrow morning after climbing the leaderboard on another disjointed day at the PGA Championship. With almost half the field still to complete their second rounds, McIlroy will resume three behind clubhouse leader Matt Kuchar.

Kuchar finished on eight under at Whistling Straits, three ahead of a chasing pack containing Jason Dufner, Bryce Molder, Dustin Johnson, Seung Yul Noh and, of course, the young Irishman.

The first round wasn’t completed at 7.02 pm Irish time, nearly two hours after second-round play began, after fog delayed the start of play each of the last two days. Tiger Woods won’t even start his second round until 11.45pm Irish time.
