The Israeli army shot dead a Palestinian today during clashes in the West Bank city of Nablus, the second Palestinian to be killed on the day, a hospital source said.
Ayesh Mustafa Zaamel (19) was shot in the head when Israeli troops opened fire on demonstrators who were throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at them.
Dozens more were wounded by Israeli gunfire.
Earlier Israeli troops shot dead a 21-year-old stone-throwing Palestinian in Ramallah.
The director of West Bank hospitals identified the dead man as Mohammed al-Wawi (21) who was struck in the head.
A Palestinian Red Crescent spokesman said five Palestinians had been shot and wounded by live ammunition and three by rubber-coated metal bullets during a march by about 1,000 protesters near Ramallah.
About 2,000 people marched in central Hebron to mark the annual Land Day, which commemorates the killings by Israeli police of six Israeli Arabs during mass protests in 1976 against Israeli land expropriation policies.
Hebron hospital sources said two protesters had been injured by live ammunition, one in the leg and the other in the chest.
Four people were shot by rubber bullets in Nablus, where 10,000 Palestinians marched on a checkpoint.
