The Tallaght St Patrick's Day parade had a mythological flavour with artists, actors and local school children enacting legendary fables such as the Tuatha de Dannan.

At Clondalkin, the Celtic theme was maintained with visual displays based on the life of Cuchulainn. The Lucan parade, meanwhile, centred on the Children of Lir fable and saw local young people playing the various parts.
