Although the North Wall Quay is a major artery in the city, a spokesperson for AA Roadwatch said the crash did not cause significant disruption to traffic this morning as it has been a quieter day than usual across the city.

“There wasn’t too much of an impact as gardaí had the diversions in place quite early.”

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them at Store Street Garda station on 01 - 666 8000, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.
