Gardaí in Co Galway are investigating a serious assault.
A man in his 20s was injured in an incident at Rossaveal Pier at about 4am.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin to be treated for his injuries.
Gardaí from Salthill Garda station are investigating the incident.
