Houses, cars damaged in NI petrol bomb attacks

A number of houses and cars were damaged after separate overnight petrol bomb attacks in Derry and Newtownabbey.

A number of petrol bombs were thrown at a house in the Fountain Estate in Derry causing minor scorch damage. The Masonic Military Base was also attacked in the city but no one was injured.

In Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, a car was destroyed and another damaged after petrol bombs were thrown at a yard where they were parked on the Mill Road.

Two paint bombs were also thrown at a house, damaging the door and smashing a window. Residents believe the attackers travelled to, and fled, the scene in two cars.
