A legal action by millionaire businessman Senator Edward Haughey could force a GAA club to demolish part of a £180,000 changing-room complex even before it is officially opened next month.

The action against St Bronagh's Gaelic Athletic Club, Rostrevor, Co Down, is due to be heard in the High Court in Belfast in the next few weeks.

Dr Haughey owns a covenant which restricts building at St Bronagh's grounds, Pettit Park. The grounds are close to Carpenham, Dr Haughey's former home, which is now used to accommodate guests following his move to Ballyedmond Castle.
