Six Gulf states have pledged€320 million to help Iran after the earthquake that killed morethan 25,000 people.

The money would come from an inter-Gulf development fund,the official news agency of Bahrain said.

Finance and economy ministers from the Gulf CooperationCouncil - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and theUnited Arab Emirates - had held an emergency meeting in Riyadhto discuss aid measures to Iran.

Most of these countries have sent planeloads of aid to Iran.
