Two gardaí were threatened with a shotgun as theyattempted to foil a robbery at an off licence in Dublin last night.
Gardaí confronted two armed raiders after they had stolen cash and cigarettes from the premises at St Albans Road, Dublin 8.
The men threatened the gardaí with a shotgun and a knife before making their getaway in a waiting car shortly after 9 p.m.
