Gardaí have seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €450,000 and arrested a man in Blanchardstown, west Dublin, today.

Gardaí carried out a planned search in sheds at the rear of a house on Blakestown Road this afternoon and found what they said was an elaborate and high tech cannabis growing operation. In addition to the plants, nine apparent stun guns were discovered.

A male in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
