Gardaí are investigating a stabbing in Dublin last night that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
The incident is understood to have occurred in the Waterside Apartments in Ringsend at about 9 p.m.
It is understood the man was stabbed a number of times.He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.
A British national has been arrested in connection with the attack and is being questioned at Irishtown Garda station.
Gardaí believe the stabbing was over a dispute during an illegal drugs transaction.
