Gardaí are investigating the cause of an overnight fire in Limerick.

Gardaí are investigating the cause of an overnight fire in Limerick.

The fire broke out in a house at Cliona Park in the Moyross area of Limerick.

Three people were in the house at the time of the fire. A woman and her two teenage sons were brought to Limerick Regional Hospital.

One of the sons escaped from the house and a garda rescued the woman and her 14-year-old son.

Three gardaí were admitted to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation but were released later.

Gardí are investigating the possibility the fire may have been started deliberately.
