Gardaí in Limerick are continuing to question four men, arrested yesterday in connection with an arms find in the city.

They were arrested after gardaí raided a house in the Lockmore area yesterday afternoon and seized a number of items including an under-car booby trap bomb, one submachine gun and assorted ammunition.

The four men are being held in Roxboro Road Garda station where they can be held for up to 72 hours.

The seizure was part of an ongoing investigation into criminal activities and feuds in the Limerick area, in particular, the murder of Mr Kieran Keane on January 29th this year.

Mr Keane's murder is understood to have part of a feud between two rival families in the city.
