Seoul - Heavy rains soaked South Korea overnight, triggering landslides and flooding in the northern part of the country that killed at least 33 people, government officials said yesterday. Fourteen people were missing, including eight tourists who were swept away in rain-swollen streams in Kapyong, a resort near Seoul, authorities said.
