Genoa - Five illegal immigrants died and three were injured yesterday when a fire broke out on a merchant ship that docked in Genoa from Tunisia, port officials said.
The eight stowaways, all believed to be Tunisian, were trapped in a cabin below deck when fire broke out on the 2,000 tonne cargo ship Linda Rosa.
