The funeral has taken place at Sinclair Seamen's Presbyterian Church in Belfast of Mr Frank Millar, a leading Independent unionist politician.
The attendance included the First Minister, Mr David Trimble; the Minister of Enterprise, Sir Reg Empey; the deputy leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, Mr John Taylor; and the UUP's North Belfast MP, Mr Cecil Walker. The DUP MLAs Mr Nigel Dodds and Mr Sammy Wilson also attended.
The chief mourners were Mr Millar's wife Isa, daughters Marie and Debbie, and son Frank, London Editor of The Irish Times.
