Extradition of escaper sought

Anthony Kelly (36), from Garvan Place, Derry, with an address at Glenard Park, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, was remanded on continuing bail until November 20th. Kelly, who escaped from the Maze Prison in the mass break-out by 38 IRA prisoners in September 1983, is wanted for the murder of Reserve Policeman David Stanley Wray in Derry on May 20th, 1979.

Judge Peter Smithwick yesterday heard an application for his extradition to Northern Ireland at Dublin District Court.
