Evidence is served in Gillane case
THE husband of Mrs Philomena Gillane was again remanded on continuing bail yesterday at Galway District Court. The judge was told a book of evidence had been served in relation to a charge of soliciting two men to murder his wife.
Mr Pat Gillane (33) of Glenbrack, Gort, is charged with soliciting Mr Christopher Bolger and Mr Michael Doyle in Dublin during January 1994 to murder Mrs Gillane.
Insp Padraic Rattigan, prosecuting, applied to have Mr Gillane remanded by consent to the Galway court on April 1st following the serving of the book of evidence.
This was agreed to by Judge John Garavan. Defending solicitor, Mr Colman Sherry, said discussions were ongoing.
