The EU trio of Britain, Germany and France have agreed to meet Iranian negotiators to discuss Tehran's disputed nuclear programme tomorrow.
"A ministerial level meeting is planned between the EU3 and Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani on Friday," said a spokesman for Britain's Foreign Office.
"Iran requested the meeting, we will listen to what Iran has to say but we have no new proposals," he said.
Earlier China urged Iran to "fully co-operate" with the UN nuclear watchdog and suspend nuclear enrichment activities, which is adding to rising international pressure.
China had noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency said in a report that Iran has not fully complied with its demand that it address questions about the scope and purpose of its nuclear programme, a spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry said.
Tehran says its nuclear plans are entirely peaceful, but the United States and the EU trio say Iran hopes to gain the ability to make nuclear weapons.
Iran has claimed that the United States, by pressing for Iran to be reported to the UN Security Council, was threatening a Russian compromise proposal.
Iran has held talks with Russian officials over Moscow's offer to Iran to enrich uranium on Russian soil to end the confrontation with the West.
