The European Union's executive branch said its investigation of Intel is continuing and a decision will be made “as soon as possible”.

Jonathan Todd, a spokesman for the European Commission, today called “misleading” a newspaper report that EU Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes may have made a decision to force Intel to change the practice of selling its processors to personal-computer manufacturers at a rebate.
