Chicago - Dog bite injuries have reached "epidemic proportions" in the United States, with children suffering the majority of the wounds, US researchers said yesterday. Of the 4.5 million Americans bitten each year, one out of six required medical treatment and more than half were children, researchers at Allegheny University said.
