A bursary of £1,000 is available to postgraduate students interested in exploring community relations issues relating to the student environment in the North. Launched by the Student Movement in Northern Ireland, the aspiration behind the bursary, according to NUS-USI manager Peter O'Neill, is that the research involved will help examine how third-level education in the North has dealt with the ramifications of the troubles "and further develop the role of colleges and student organisations in combating sectarianism on campus". Closing date for applications is May 31st. Details from the NUS-USI, 29 Bedford Street, Belfast, BT2 7EJ. Tel (028) 90244641.
