A Dublin man has been found guilty at the Central Criminal Court of sexually assaulting his daughter on dates in 1998 when she was aged 13 and 14.

The jury took over three hours to reach its unanimous verdict following a four-day trial. The 37-year-old accused had pleaded not guilty to one charge of rape, one of attempted rape and three counts of sexually assaulting the girl at their south Dublin home between January 1st and October 22nd, 1998.
