Motorola Dublin Fashion Week begins today.

The three-day fashion trade event takes place at Dublin's Fitzwilliam Hotel.

Supported by Dublin City Enterprise Board, the biannual trade event is raising the profiles of native designers and increasing their exposure here and abroad.

Around 25 designers are taking part in the event including knitwear designer Tim Ryan, dress designers Joanne Hynes and Eilis Boyle and footwear designer Eileen Shields.

The event includes a number of talks which are open to the public including Ten steps to starting your own fashion businesspresented by Dublin City Enterprise Board.
