A 26-year-old man has been arrested in New Ross, Co Wexford after cannabis worth ¤24,000 was seized this afternoon.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in New Ross, Co Wexford after cannabis worth €24,000 was seized this afternoon.

The cannabis was found growing in a bedroom of a house at Ballylane East and in a green house at the rear.

The man was arrested at the scene and is being held at New Ross garda station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
