A man is due to appear in court today charged in connection with the discovery of cannabis, LSD and cocaine in Dublin.

Gardaí from the Terenure District Drug Unit stopped a car on Leinster Road in Rathmines at 5pm yesterday and found a quantity of cannabis herb and LSD. Two men in their 20s were arrested at the scene and taken to Rathmines Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

In a follow up search of a house in Rathfarnham, further quantities of cannabis herb, LSD and cocaine were seized.

The drugs have a total estimated street value of €60,000, a garda spokesman said.

One man is due to appear before Court 44 at The Bridewell today. The second man was released without charge last night.
