Bulmers John Keogh is Marketer of the Year

Mr John Keogh of Bulmers Ltd, was today presented with the 2001 Marketer of the Year Award.

Mr Keogh was one of three individuals shortlisted for today's award. The others were Mr Stewart Kenny of Paddy Power Bookmakers and Ms Niamh Boyle of the Michael Smurfit Business School.

Bulmers has grown its share of the beer market from 2.8 per cent to over 10 per cent in less than 10 years.

Bulmers also has a commanding 85 per cent share of the Irish cider market, worth £300 million annually. In the pub trade Bulmers has a 96 per cent market share.

Mr Keogh joins a list of winners which includes Mr Liam Marnane of Cadburys, Mr Michael O'Rourke, Green Isle Foods and Mr Simon and Ms Amanda Pratt of Avoca Handweavers.

The Marketer of the Year Award is organised by Marketingmagazine in association with BFK Strategic Design.
