British stag and hen party-goers are better behaved when they come to Dublin than they are in other European destinations, according to the British embassy in Dublin.
Embassy officials say British revellers rarely have problems when they are in Dublin for parties and do not have reason to call for consular help.
Deteriorating behaviour among British stag and hen party-goers in mainland Europe has led to plans to charge those who get into trouble and turn to their embassy for help.
Dublin has been the fourth most-popular stag and hen party destination in Europe for the British over the past five years.
However, a spokeswoman for the British embassy in Dublin said: "We rarely have any problems from groups coming for those type of parties."
Dublin Tourism said that although hen and stag party tourists were still coming, pub owners in places such as Temple Bar won't tolerate bad behaviour.
