Boy (6) dies from crash injuries

A six-year-old boy died in hospital today from injuries he suffered in a road crash in Co Armagh on Thursday evening.

A six-year-old boy died in hospital today from injuries he suffered in a road crash in Co Armagh on Thursday evening.

Jerome Mone from the Ballygassoon Road area of Armagh was injured in a collision on the Red Lion Road between Portadown and Loughgall.

He had remained in a critical condition with head injuries since the collision between a blue Suzuki SX4 and a green Seat Ibiza .

He was the 105th person to die on Northern Ireland's roads this year.

Three adults, two men and a woman, were also seriously injured in the crash, however their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police continue to appeal for any witnesses to the fatal accident to contact them.
