Bilbao - The homes of a journalist and a policeman were the targets of bombing attempts in Spain's Basque region yesterday after police arrested four people suspected of links to the Basque separatist group ETA.
The first attack involved a small explosive device hidden in a plant pot outside a newspaper reporter's front door in the coastal city of San Sebastian. The home of a national police officer in Vitoria, capital of the semi-autonomous Basque region, was firebombed later yesterday. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks.
