The body of a man aged about 30 was found yesterday on rocks near Helvic Head in Co Waterford.

The body of a man aged about 30 was found yesterday on rocks near Helvic Head in Co Waterford.

Gardai believe the man, who was not from the area, slipped from the edge of a 120 ft cliff while attempting to go fishing. His car and a fishing rod were found close to the scene.

His body was discovered shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday by teenagers playing on the beach. A Garda spokesman said there was nothing suspicious about the death.
