An armed raider escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash from a convenience store in the Lambeg area of Lisburn, Co Antrim, last night.

Shortly before 9:30 pm the man, armed with a hand-gun, entered the store on the Moss road and threatened staff before taking the cash from the till. The raider is believed to have made his getaway in a blue or dark-coloured car.

The man was wearing dark jeans with white runners and a green anorak during the robbery.

PSNI are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the raid or has information about cars seen nearby, specifically a blue Peugeot 306, a dark-coloured VW Golf and a silver Citroen Saxo.
