BOTH higher and ordinary level Leaving Cert applied maths papers were most satisfactory, according to ASTI subject representative Mr Damian Cooke.
"There was sufficient standard material on both these papers for the candidates to have done well," he said. The papers were well presented and the diagrams on both papers were clear and helpful, Mr Cooke added.
However, there were tricky parts to some questions, in particular, question 6 (ii) on the higher level paper, said Mr Cooke, who teaches in CBS Clonmel, Co Tipperary. "Overall, however, the papers were testing but fair and examined the syllabus well."
