More than 150 fish were killed today after a pollution scare in a Co Antrim river.
The North's Department of the Environment said a pump failure at a Water Service station on the Ballybrakes Road was responsible for the spillage in the Ballymoney river.
A member of the public contacted the Department's pollution helpline around 9am to raise the alarm.
Officials later recovered 152 adult and juvenile brown trout along a half-mile stretch. Booms were placed across the river to prevent the pollution getting into the larger River Bann.

The discharge has been stopped and work is being carried out to prevent further leakages.
