Ambulance overturns in Dublin after crash with car

An ambulance overturned in Dublin north inner city yesterday after it was in collision with a car.

An ambulance overturned in Dublin north inner city yesterday after it was in collision with a car.

The crash happened at the Summerhill junction of Gardiner Street and Parnell Street just after 9.30am.

The Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance was travelling north on a call at the time of the crash and was not carrying a patient.

The two ambulance staff, who were in the cab, were only slightly injured.

A woman passenger in the car involved in the incident was cut from the vehicle and taken to the Mater hospital as a precaution with suspected neck injuries.

The driver of the car, also a woman, was not seriously injured.
