Action threatened over flouting of BSE rules

CONSUMER Affairs Commissioner Emma Bonino is now responsible for food health

CONSUMER Affairs Commissioner Emma Bonino is now responsible for food health. The commissioner was speaking to a special committee set up by MEPs to monitor the Commission's reactions to the report of Parliament's BSE enquiry committee. It called for sweeping changes in the Commission's administrative units on agriculture and consumer affairs before the end of the year.
