THE British Millennium Commission has given a grant-in-aid of £45 million for a new Belfast science centre and arena capable of seating 10,000 people. The lottery-funded project, proposed by the Ulster Museum, will cost £100 million, so the additional landing must be met from private and other sources.

The Odyssey project will have a science centre, an indoor stadium for concerts and sporting events, and a film theatre.
