Routes to avoid around the country during the week ahead

DUBLIN: the "100% Modified" Car Show in the RDS over Easter weekend, from Saturday to Monday, April 19th to 21st. Last year over 200,000 people visited the show, so expect delays.

Roadworks on Feltrim Road in Swords between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Traffic is one lane from Kinsealy Court Estate to Kettles Lane.

Queen Street traffic is one lane at Benburb Street, for Luas work. This has been causing delays, so avoid the area if possible.

Work has begun on the second West Link Bridge on the M50 and there will be temporary traffic arrangements. Leaflets with the general timetable and arrangements available at West Link toll booths.

Acres Road will be closed between the Papal Cross and St Mary's Hospital in the Phoenix Park on Sunday, April 20th between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. for a fundraising event.

The Ordnance Road, Survey Road in the Phoenix Park is closed for road drainage and resurfacing, fromMountjoy junction to Knockmaroon junction, Monday to Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Diversions signposted, and drivers are asked to stick to the diversion routes. There is no through access on Ordnance Survey Road.

Adamstown Road in Lucan closed for roadworks, between the N4 to junction of Lucan Road/Leixlip Road at Courtney's pub, for essential works. Local access will be maintained. Diversion signs erected.

There will be no trains at Tara Street station on Friday, April 18th, Saturday, April 19th, Sunday, April 20th or Monday, April 21st. Trains will call at Pearse and Connolly stations, and city centre passengers should use these. Customers for the Number 90 bus should travel to Connolly station.

Iarnród Éireann will close Coolmine Road at the level crossing from 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th to 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th for upgrading. Alternative route via Clonsilla Road to Main Street, Blanchardstown to Castleknock Road to junction of Laurel Lodge Road and onto Carpenterstown Park and Carpenterstown Road.

KILDARE: roadworks on N78 Athy to Kilcullen Road, from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. One lane traffic and temporary traffic lights.

Roadworks and temporary lights on Clane Road in Celbridge from 7.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: expect delays.

MEATH: temporary lights at Laracor Bridge in Trim, a result of damage to the bridge wall. Expect delays.

CLARE: Drumgeely entrance to Shannon Town Industrial Estate has reopened to two-way traffic. Restrictions on N68 Kilrush Road have been removed, but the roadworks are in place.

CAVAN: expect delays on the N55 between Cavan and Ballinagh for roadworks.

WESTMEATH: roadworks on N80 Clara Road out of Moate between 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Expect delays. Roadworks on Athlone side of the N62 Birr Ballinahoun Road, with temporary traffic lights.

ARMAGH: roadworks on the main A1 Belfast to Dublin Road, northbound traffic is diverting. Alternative route via Carlingford and Omeath to Newry (N1-R173). Delays expected at peak times.
